The 10K route and map
The course starts on the Civil Service playing fields at Dukes Meadows and sets off westbound towards Chiswick Bridge. After crossing the bridge, the course follows the towpath and road along the south side of the Thames River, all the way to Hammersmith Bridge. The return route follows the footpaths on the north side of the river, leading directly back to Dukes Meadows.
Please note that the first section of the route follows a public road which is normally very quiet – but which has not been closed to traffic. Please watch out for all vehicles and take special care around the blind bends past the Riverside Club and old boathouse.
On the day
On arrival, all race entrants will need to register at the Civil Service Sports Club in order to collect their race number and t-shirt. There may be a limited number of places for people to enter on the day, but this cannot be guaranteed. Event entry is £20 for race and BBQ booked in advance or £25 for entry and BBQ on the day, all of which goes directly to SportsAid. For a £5 donation to SportsAid anyone who’s not running can enjoy the BBQ afterwards.
Registration is open from 9.00am to 10.15am.
Please ensure that you arrive by 10am to allow time to register and warm up.
The race starts at 10.30am.
Changing rooms and shower facilities will be open from 9.00am and available for the whole day.
At the end of the 10k all runners will receive a souvenir medal – and can soothe their aching muscles with a post-run massage at the sports club.
